Innovating with Cannes Lions

At Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, ideas move quickly and rarely land in one place. The opportunity was to rethink how attendees capture and shape those moments — using Adobe Express as a flexible, in-the-moment creative space rather than a static notebook.

I worked with Adobe Express to design a mobile-first digital notebook that extended beyond simple note-taking. Built as a set of editable templates, it allowed attendees to capture thoughts, visuals, and reflections as they happened, remixing pages in real time and shaping something personal within a shared system.

The result was a lightweight creative framework that fit naturally into the pace of the festival — showing how Adobe Express can be used not just to document experiences, but to actively shape them.

This research focused on how ideas are formed, captured, and shared in fast-moving creative environments. It explored goal setting, brainstorming, free-thinking, and collaboration as connected stages — not separate tasks — and informed the design of flexible, in-the-moment tools that support both individual thinking and collective creation.

Beyond designing the notebook itself, I worked closely with the team to shape how it would be used and scaled. This meant educating stakeholders on how to think about the tool as a system — not just a one-off deliverable — and showing how the notebook could adapt across teams, use cases, and moments.

To support this, I designed a set of built-in user guide pages directly in Adobe Express. These guides helped teams understand how to navigate, customize, and extend the notebook independently, making the experience easier to adopt, share, and evolve over time.
